In his powerful new book, We're Better Than This, Eric Liu argues that we must overcome our divisions and work together to create a more just and equitable America. Drawing on his own experiences as an immigrant, a father, and a lifelong activist, Liu offers a compelling vision for a future where all Americans have the opportunity to succeed.

Liu begins by acknowledging the deep divisions that exist in our country today. We are divided by race, class, religion, and politics. These divisions have led to a breakdown in trust and a loss of faith in our institutions. As a result, we are facing a crisis of democracy.

But Liu believes that we can overcome these challenges. He argues that we must rediscover our common values and work together to build a more just and equitable society. We must create a society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their race, class, religion, or sexual orientation. We must create a society where all children have access to quality education, healthcare, and housing. We must create a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Liu's vision for America is a bold one, but it is one that we must strive for. We are better than this. We are capable of creating a more just and equitable society for all.
