In the depths of the Vietnam War, a young U.S. soldier named James Stockdale was shot down over enemy territory and taken prisoner. For seven years, he endured unimaginable torture and brutality at the hands of his captors. Yet, amidst the darkness, he found a glimmer of hope—a profound sense of forgiveness.

POW is Stockdale's searing account of his experience as a prisoner of war. It is a story of unimaginable suffering, but also of resilience, courage, and the power of forgiveness. Stockdale's story is a testament to the human spirit's ability to triumph over adversity.

The movie tie-in edition of POW includes exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the upcoming film adaptation, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Stockdale. This content includes interviews with Stockdale and his family, as well as footage from the film's production.

POW is a powerful and moving story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it. It is a timeless tale of war and its aftermath, and a reminder of the indomitable spirit of the human heart.
