When Yahaira and Camino learn of their father's death, they are both devastated. They had both known that their father had been a pilot, but they had no idea that he had been flying a drug-running plane when he crashed. Now, they must come to terms with the fact that their father was not the man they thought he was.
As Yahaira and Camino grieve, they begin to learn more about each other. They discover that they have more in common than they thought. They are both strong, independent women who are determined to make their way in the world. They also share a love of music, and they both dream of becoming singers.
Over time, Yahaira and Camino begin to form a bond. They become each other's support system, and they help each other to heal. They also encourage each other to pursue their dreams. Yahaira decides to move to New York City to be with Camino, and they start to make a life for themselves in the city.
But their lives are not without challenges. Yahaira and Camino must navigate the challenges of living in a new country, and they must also face the prejudices of those around them. They are both determined to succeed, however, and they refuse to let anything stand in their way.
