About the Author
Father Douglas Bazi is a Chaldean Catholic priest who was born in Mosul, Iraq. He was ordained a priest in 1995 and served as a pastor in Mosul for many years. In 2006, he was kidnapped by insurgents and held captive for nearly three months. After his release, he fled to the United States, where he now lives in exile.
Father Bazi is the author of several books, including Abducted in Iraq: Priest in Baghdad and Mosul: A Memoir of Faith, Loss, and Hope. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of peace and reconciliation.
